PEAR TREE LOG

pear tree log: I started this blog to keep my younger son, Jonny, in touch with life in Lincolnshire, while he spent a year working in China. That year turned into five! Now he is home and training to become a physics teacher. This is simply a patchwork quilt of some of the things I enjoy - life in rural Lincolnshire, our animals, friends, architecture, books, the gardens, and things of passing interest.

WHY ONE SHOULD NEVER WRITE LIMERICKS

My husband was my best friend
'Til I drove him round the bend
When the limericks started
Friendship departed
Now these limericks must end

(Like that is going to happen)

When Natalie sought to inspire us
She planted a nasty 'virus'
Now my poor brain
Can't take the strain
I'm hoping she's going to retire us

  1. Well, I for one am VERY glad you've caught the virus, as it's providing me with lots of laughter every day!!! I'm sure you'll win a prize. :)

  2. Hi Knatolee

I really enjoy them - although it is a little unnerving that they pop into my head unbidden, sometimes! It's great fun, no doubt my head will be churning them out again shortly. Don't worry, I am doing them because it is fun, not for a prize!

    Glad you're enjoying them too.
