PEAR TREE LOG

pear tree log: I started this blog to keep my younger son, Jonny, in touch with life in Lincolnshire, while he spent a year working in China. That year turned into five! Now he is home and training to become a physics teacher. This is simply a patchwork quilt of some of the things I enjoy - life in rural Lincolnshire, our animals, friends, architecture, books, the gardens, and things of passing interest.

Meandering Round the Owl Wood

I took a stroll around the Owl Wood this morning

So many exciting colours and textures.

Then we looked around the garden for more colour and found one brave, confused bit of apple blossom.

  2. Nature is so beautiful. I love all your autumn photos. The cat in the tree is too cute.

  3. Imagine, an apple blossom in November! I saw two confused butterflies today who will have a hard time finding any nectar at this time of the year.

Love the kitty in the crook of the tree.

  4. Hi Everyone,

The cat in the tree is Sparky - she loves rampaging round the wood, running up and down the trees, when I walk the dogs. She and Bennie (our other cat) are young and full of energy, unlike the dogs who are pretty old and a bit 'plodding' these days!

Don't you just love that tree in photograph no. 4 - the one with what looks like a garland of yellow leaves?

  5. Hi Knatolee, The tree in that photo has lost its pretty garland overnight. So glad I captured the moment!
