PEAR TREE LOG

pear tree log: I started this blog to keep my younger son, Jonny, in touch with life in Lincolnshire, while he spent a year working in China. That year turned into five! Now he is home and training to become a physics teacher. This is simply a patchwork quilt of some of the things I enjoy - life in rural Lincolnshire, our animals, friends, architecture, books, the gardens, and things of passing interest.

China - London and finally, home!

At 7.20pm tonight, the coach pulled into Louth bus station - the first passenger to alight was Jonny!
We soon had his bags stashed into the back of the car and were on our way home.......Mother Nature treated us to this beautiful rainbow.  By my reckoning the end of the rainbow was somewhere pretty close to Pear Tree Towers.

Forgive me if I go quiet for a few days, I need to cook and bake and talk, or perhaps talk while cooking and baking.   I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

  4. On your sidebar, you state you're living on the edge of nowhere. I'll bet that Jonny thinks that it's a very important somewhere!
And, judging from your lovely posts, I think it is a beautiful spot to be admired, treasured and protected. I'm so glad Owl Wood and Pear Tree farm exist!

  11. Hello Everyone, Thank you so much for all your kind comments. Jonny is home, safe and well and has been telling us some of his experiences of living in China, and also about the adventures he had while travelling in Thailand and Cambodia for six weeks, over Christmas.
